TNU-Bremen

Treffpunkt Natur & Umwelt e.V. (TNU Bremen) is a nonprofit nature and environmental association based in Bremen, Germany. The organization connects local nature conservation with practical environmental education, helping people understand and care for the natural world around them. Its work includes protecting threatened species, restoring natural habitats, and improving rivers and other waterways, including projects around the Bultensee and Embser Mühlengraben.

TNU Bremen offers hands-on learning for schools, children, young people, families, and adults. Its activities cover water ecology, aquatic wildlife, the natural water cycle, and sustainable gardening. Programs take place in settings such as the QuerBeet community garden and include workshops, school sessions, holiday activities, children’s birthday events, and a youth nature ranger group. Visitors can also join community gardening, beekeeping, and garden events.

Through practical projects, guided activities, and public events, the association encourages people of different ages to explore local ecosystems and take part in conservation. TNU Bremen also works with cooperation partners and supporters to advance its environmental initiatives.
