About Tobacco21
Tobacco21 is a national campaign that aims to raise the minimum legal age for tobacco and nicotine sales in the United States to 21. The campaign is produced and funded by the Preventing Tobacco Addiction Foundation, a public health nonprofit organization that has been established since 1996. As part of their mission, Tobacco21 provides various resources and materials to advocate for the adoption of tobacco retail licenses and best practices.
They offer a Tobacco 21 Model Policy, a toolkit, presentations, and even a sample letter to the council to help individuals and organizations support their cause. The organization also grades all the statewide Tobacco 21 laws to ensure effective implementation across the country. With 42 states having raised their tobacco sales age to 21, covering a population of over 218 million, Tobacco21 is making significant strides in preventing tobacco addiction
