TÖDEB, the Association of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions of Türkiye, is a public-law professional organization established under Law No. 6493. Its members are payment and electronic money institutions authorized to operate in Türkiye. The association represents and supports this sector, which includes 55 electronic money institutions and 20 payment institutions, and promotes cooperation among industry participants, public bodies and other organizations.
TÖDEB’s work spans regulatory and legal matters, sector development, education and public information. It organizes sector meetings, workshops and trade delegations, and publishes reports and updates on payment services, electronic money and fintech. Through TÖDEB Akademi, it provides professional training, including programs on POS systems and merchant services. Its Fintech Apprentice Program supports early-career learning, while its Individual Customer Arbitration Committee addresses consumer-related matters. TÖDEB also maintains information about member institutions and offers resources explaining payment services, electronic money and fintech terminology. Through these activities, the association helps strengthen knowledge, dialogue and collaboration across Türkiye’s payments and financial technology ecosystem.
