Tom Furey

Tom Furey is a Bucks County, Pennsylvania fine artist whose contemporary American oil paintings draw on nature, color, texture, light, and emotion. Raised and based in the region, he has painted for more than fifty years, developing work that captures atmosphere, structure, and the personal resonance of everyday scenes. His subjects include landscapes, still lifes, florals, animals, seascapes, figurative scenes, fantasy, and industrial settings.

Furey studied at Bucks County Community College and the Maryland Institute of Art. After college, he returned to Bristol, Pennsylvania, where he founded Mill Street Studio, an artists’ community and cooperative that operated for over twenty years. He now creates original paintings for private collectors and accepts commissions. His work is held in private collections in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, and Germany.
