Tomelilla Hyrkart is an outdoor go-kart venue in Tomelilla, on Österlen in Skåne, Sweden. Its 400-metre-long, six-metre-wide track offers recreational driving and organized competitions, with sessions arranged by phone. The venue can open on most days by appointment, and, when weather permits, driving is available year-round.
Visitors can choose a 10-minute session, packages of two or three sessions, individual competitions with two or three heats, or a one-hour team endurance race. Competition formats have minimum participant or team requirements. The fleet includes 14 Caroli-Honda karts with 270cc engines for drivers around 140 cm tall or taller, plus two small karts for children from age seven and around 120 cm tall. An AMB timing system records lap times.
A kiosk sells items such as toast, sweets, ice cream, soft drinks and coffee, and guests may also bring their own refreshments. Payment is accepted in cash or by Swish; businesses may pay by invoice, while card payments are not accepted. All driving is at the participant’s own risk.
