Toms Tauchshop, led by diving professional Tom Baier, specializes in individualized technical diving education. With 35 years of experience, Baier works with divers to develop training around their skills, experience and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Courses are aligned with IANTD standards and combine theory with practical training, emphasizing sound skills and the ability to apply them in realistic conditions.
The program covers technical diving, cave diving, wreck diving and exploration, as well as CCR and rebreather diving. Training focuses on the planning, equipment, navigation, gas management and disciplined procedures needed for demanding dives. Exploration courses also address systematically investigating and documenting unfamiliar underwater areas.
Based in Giessen, Germany, Toms Tauchshop offers personal consultation about training and diving objectives. Visits are by telephone appointment. The business is operated by Thomas Baier, and prospective students can contact him to discuss suitable courses and develop a clear, experience-based training plan.
