Tomvale

Tomvale is an aviation and software business operating in the same location, with the same contact information, since 1989. It owns and operates Plevna/Tomvale Airport (NA9), where it offers aircraft storage, flight training, refuelling, weather reporting, and firefighting services. Tomvale also developed a nearby waterfront community comprising 15 properties.

The company produces the Tomvale Ground School Software Suite, designed to help pilot candidates prepare for Transport Canada written exams. The software is available in single-user versions for fixed-wing and rotorcraft licences, as well as a Flight School Package. Its other products include the Tomvale Aviation Calculator, an electronic pilot logbook, and password tools called Tomvale Iron Passwords and Tomvale Friendly Passwords. Tomvale also provides a pilot safety program called SAFE and makes free downloads available.

Tomvale emphasizes continuity, product support, client input, personal attention, and privacy. Its founder also created Music is Basic, an early desktop computer-assisted instruction application. The company shares software updates and airport information through its website.
