Towarzystwo Osób Niesłyszących “TON” is a public-benefit nonprofit organization that brings together people with a range of disabilities, with Deaf people forming the largest part of its community. Based in Poznań, the association works to make Deaf culture and language more widely known and accessible. Polish Sign Language (PJM) is its primary language, and TON welcomes both Deaf and hearing people to learn about and engage with its community.
The organization provides practical support through two dedicated services: a Social Rehabilitation Centre for people with hearing disabilities and a day-support centre for seniors with hearing disabilities. Through this work, TON assists Deaf people and advocates on their behalf. Its activities are funded in part by the City of Poznań budget.
