Tonantzin Botanicals

Tonantzin Botanicals connects people with nature through locally grown herbs, sustainable gardening, and place-based education. The organization’s work draws on Traditional Ecological Knowledge and focuses on the plants and landscapes of South Texas and the greater Cohuiltecan region. It offers garden maintenance services, including pruning and weeding, as well as garden guidance and eco-friendly garden creation. Customers can contact the business to inquire about locally grown herbs and herbal products or request a garden-service quote.

Tonantzin Botanicals also provides seasonal classes, with fall 2026 offerings that include Urban Foraging, an online Cohuiltecan Herbal Foundations course, and The Art of Dreams. These programs explore topics such as identifying native and naturalized plants, understanding their ecological and medicinal roles, and developing an approach to herbalism grounded in local landscapes. Payment plans and reciprocity scholarships are available for the listed courses. Through its products, services, and educational programs, Tonantzin Botanicals promotes a thoughtful relationship with nature and practical, place-based ways to learn about plants and care for gardens.
