TŌNUI Collab is a charitable trust that is deeply committed to addressing digital inequity and closing the digital divide. Our mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience STEMM learning – Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, and Mātauranga Māori. At TŌNUI Collab, we provide specialized bilingual STEMM education opportunities for learners of Tairāwhiti.

Our innovative wānanga workshops empower young people to explore and experiment with a diverse range of STEMM subjects, including animation, engineering, 3D design, robotics, coding, virtual reality, game development, augmented reality, and more! We celebrate a core philosophy of learning through exploration, fast fails, and collaborative problem-solving. Our aim is to build confidence through new and exciting ways of learning and collaborating. We also collaborate with teachers to support the adoption of digital technologies in contemporary learning environments through professional learning and development partnerships.

With a team of experienced educators and tech experts, we are passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for our rangatahi. Over the past two years, we have created over 1200 unique STEMM learning opportunities, enabling more than 25,000 tamariki and rangatahi of Tairāwhiti to explore, create, and thrive with STEMM.
