Top5.nz is an independent New Zealand business-ranking platform that helps people find highly rated local businesses without relying on advertising claims. It assesses businesses using publicly observable review data, including star ratings, review volume and how recently reviews were posted. The platform says its rankings are based on a consistent published method, with no paid placements.

Top5.nz covers 69 categories across 11 New Zealand locations, from Auckland and Wellington to smaller centres such as Nelson and New Plymouth. Its listings feature the five highest-scoring businesses in each category and city, with the next five shown as Also Recommended. Categories are refreshed on a rolling basis.
