GO! Topsportschool Gent

GO! Topsportschool Gent is a secondary school in Ghent, Belgium, helping talented young athletes pursue high-level sport while earning a full secondary education diploma. Its aim is to prepare students for a dual career, combining elite sport with further study and future professional opportunities. The school welcomes students with a valid elite-sport status in cycling, football, acrobatic gymnastics and artistic gymnastics, with entry available at different stages of secondary education.

Part of GO! Atheneum Voskenslaan, the school works with GO! Middenschool Voskenslaan to support students through their secondary-school journey. Teaching is tailored to athletes’ needs, with individual follow-up coaches helping them stay engaged with their studies, including while travelling. The school’s Zuiderlaan campus brings learning, living and training together, supported by collaboration among the school, sports federations and boarding facilities. It also works with Sport Vlaanderen on career guidance and preparation for higher education alongside sport. Beyond academic and athletic development, GO! Topsportschool Gent emphasizes personal growth through its values of courage, curiosity and ambition, encouraging students to pursue goals both within and beyond sport.
