TORCH is an organization dedicated to addressing the unique needs and challenges of rural and community hospitals, as well as the staff and patients they serve. Comprising of hospitals, corporations, and interested individuals, TORCH collaboratively works together to find solutions and improvements in the healthcare industry. The TORCH Foundation, a nonprofit affiliate of the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals, was established in 1999 with the goal of establishing a telecommunications infrastructure and network for rural hospitals in Texas.
This initiative has helped bridge the gap and provide improved connectivity for these healthcare facilities. With TORCH Management Services, they take a tailored approach to enhance the operations and service of healthcare facilities, ensuring positive bottom line results. Their dynamic and diverse system helps healthcare providers maintain their independence while working towards achieving the Triple Aim.
In addition to their advocacy efforts, TORCH offers a range of services including account payments, insurance programs, IT services, publications, group purchasing, grants, and more. They also organize informative events, such as webinars and conferences, to foster networking and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals. With a commitment to empowering rural and community hospitals, TORCH remains at the forefront of promoting quality healthcare in Texas
