Torchshare is a free mobile app for Android and iOS that helps people celebrate loved ones, preserve their life stories, and turn cherished values into community action. Users can create a Life Story, add memories and tributes, and discover stories shared by others. The app also lets people join or create a “Torch”: a community organized around a cause, project, or dream connected to a loved one or to the user’s own purpose. Torch creators set goals, while other members can contribute their time and support to help achieve them.
Torchshare offers location-based discovery of nearby Life Stories and Torches, a messaging service for connecting with other users, and notifications about tributes and requests to collaborate. Users retain control over the content of the stories they create and who can join their Torches. By bringing together remembrance, mutual support, and shared goals, Torchshare aims to keep lives from being lost to history while helping people find fulfilment through helping others.
