Tour of the Rio Grande Bicycle Century

Tour of the Rio Grande Bicycle Century LLC organizes the Tour of the Rio Grande Bicycle Century, a cycling event showcasing rural communities and landscapes south of Albuquerque, including Los Lunas, Belen, Bernardo, and Isleta Pueblo. The ride traditionally offers routes of 39, 62, 80, and 100 miles, with a shorter option for riders who take the Rail Runner from Los Lunas. It welcomes cyclists aged 13 and older, from casual participants to experienced riders, and has been described as New Mexico’s flattest century route.

For 2026, road construction and permitting concerns mean the tour will be virtual rather than an organized mass event. Riders can use Ride with GPS directions to attempt some or all of the route, but there will be no official ride date, packet pickup, or on-course support. Registration options include a basic virtual entry and a higher-priced package with a shirt, stickers, sponsor perks, and shipping.
