Founded in 1888, the Toronto Camera Club is Canadaโs oldest camera club and one of the earliest in North America. Now in its 139th season, the club brings together photographers from varied backgrounds and skill levels to develop their interests and abilities through shared learning and social activities. It is affiliated with the Ontario Council of Camera Clubs, the Photographic Society of America, and the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts.
The club offers a broad year-round program, with Monday evening meetings from September to May and a Thursday lecture series from mid-October through March. Activities include weekly photography competitions, beginner workshops, studio lighting instruction, outings, special interest groups, and social events. Members can also take part in an international salon, an audio-visual festival, and other learning opportunities. The club has its own darkroom and gallery, and provides access to image galleries, competitions, and a calendar of events. Membership is open for the 2026โ2027 season, with reduced fees available after December 31 and a year-round reduced rate for students.
