TORRANCE ROSE FLOAT

The Torrance Rose Float Association is a community organization that brings together Torrance residents, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and government partners to create the city’s entry in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Its all-volunteer tradition spans generations, with participants ranging from young teenagers to adults over 90. The association describes the float as a source of local pride and a way to represent Torrance before a worldwide audience.

Members and community supporters can take part in decorating the float, helping with the parade, or exploring opportunities to ride on it. The association also offers rose vials that can be placed on the float in honor of friends, family, or colleagues. Membership, sponsorship, and donor support help fund the work, including transportation and meals for volunteers during the decorating period. Community activities include a welcome celebration dinner, “Restaurants for Roses” events, and other calendar listings. The association shares updates through its newsletters and Facebook page, and provides information about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and past floats.
