Ron Gorr Memorial Arena is a community gathering place in Torrington, Alberta, operated and maintained by the non-profit Torrington & District Agricultural Society. Established in 1974 to create a new arena and curling rink, the society saw the arena built in 1978, with further work completed into the mid-1980s. Today, the facility serves residents, clubs, teams and visitors from surrounding communities, offering spaces for recreation, meetings and events throughout the year.
From October to March, visitors can book skating ice or use the two-sheet curling rink and lounge. Other facilities include a concession, meeting space, a newly renovated banquet hall and a commercial kitchen. The arena also houses the local library and wellness centre, and an elevator provides access to the upstairs banquet hall and curling lounge. The banquet hall is available for receptions and other events year round, while the venue also hosts activities such as markets and gun shows. Camping is available, and prospective renters can contact the arena for information or a facility tour.
