Touchseen is a care technology brand helping families and care organisations support people living independently through discreet, privacy-respecting monitoring. Its home device uses environmental and motion sensors, including infrared presence detection, ambient light, temperature, humidity and air quality, to learn an individual’s daily routines. It does not use cameras or microphones, and the person being monitored does not need to use an app, press buttons or interact with the device.
Families can use the Touchseen mobile app to follow activity and receive push notifications when the system detects unusual changes, such as prolonged inactivity. Multiple family members can follow a device, with alert routing configurable to suit their needs. Care organisations can monitor multiple residents through a web dashboard, where alerts appear in real time.
Setup involves downloading the app, linking the device by scanning a QR code, and plugging it in at home; no Wi-Fi setup is required. After a few days of routine learning, Touchseen reports 98% alert accuracy in testing and average alert delivery under 10 seconds.
