TOUHUTERAPIA

Touhuterapia is a private occupational therapy practice founded in 2002 by occupational therapist Sari Roiha. Based in Hyllykallio, it serves Seinäjoki, Härmänmaa and nearby communities, supporting clients from infancy through old age. Therapy is tailored to each client’s goals and interests and can take place at the practice, at home, in a care setting, at school or in other everyday environments. Individual, paired and group therapy are available.

The practice helps clients develop practical ways to manage daily activities as independently as possible, including self-care, communication, work or study, leisure and play. Sessions may use a large movement room with therapy equipment and toys, as well as table-based activities, crafts and cooking practice. Therapists can also work with clients in community settings and explore hobbies or everyday errands. Touhuterapia collaborates with clients’ families and other professionals, and uses the GAS goal-setting method to involve clients and their close networks in planning. The practice is an audited Kela service provider; some rehabilitation is arranged and funded by Kela.
