Toukon Ryu Karate Do is a New Zealand karate school offering training for children, families and adults across the North Shore, West Auckland and Snells Beach, with the site also identifying Hamilton as an area it serves. Led by Shihan Paul Hart, the school focuses on discipline, self-confidence, strength, control and practical self-defence. Its family classes support children and adults training together, while dedicated adult classes provide a separate option for mature students.
Toukon Ryu also offers opportunities to take part in competition and is affiliated with JKF GoJuKai Japan, UNZKO (Karate New Zealand) and WMAC, including NZMAC and AMAC. Training is delivered by a team of 20 instructors, including Paul Hart, whom the school identifies as a three-time Australian Martial Arts Championships winner. Classes take place at schools and community locations, with schedules varying by day and venue.
