Toum Lyon

TOUM Lyon is an association offering traditional Tai Chi Chuan classes in Lyon’s 7th arrondissement. Its teaching follows the TUNG style, rooted in the Yang tradition, and welcomes both beginners and experienced practitioners. The association has been active for more than ten years and provides a friendly setting in which students can discover the practice or deepen their existing skills at their own pace.

Tai Chi Chuan is a traditional Chinese movement practice built around soft, continuous and precise movements. Classes explore body awareness, balance, coordination, breathing and concentration, with movements studied progressively to develop the quality of each gesture and understanding of the practice’s principles. No prior experience is required, and prospective students can attend a trial session before deciding whether the discipline suits them.

Classes for beginner and advanced levels take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the Maison de la Guillotière, 25 rue Béchevelin, 69007 Lyon.
