Toupoil

Toupoil is a nature-focused comic series created for young readers, particularly children aged six and up. Through animal stories, it introduces readers to European wildlife and encourages awareness of the importance of protecting wild species. The series combines accessible storytelling with a conservation-minded perspective, making it suitable for children, families and educators.

Published by Éditions Crayon Vert, Toupoil currently includes five albums: Le Chien-Loutre, Le Pic de l’Ours, Mes Trois Lynx, De Mémoire de Loup and La Nuit des Blaireaux. A making-of edition for La Nuit des Blaireaux also offers readers a behind-the-scenes look at the album. The website shares news, information about published and forthcoming books, and feedback from children, parents and teachers.

Readers can buy the albums through bookstores, association-run shops and mail order. The Toupoil team also takes part in book fairs, festivals and signing events, and offers activities in schools and libraries, along with exhibitions.
