TOREIKAI

Toureikai is a social welfare corporation serving older adults and local communities in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Its work began in 1997 with the opening of Yayoi-en, a special nursing home in Asahi Ward. Since then, the organization has developed a range of eldercare services, guided by its commitment to kindness, consideration, and human connection, and to supporting fulfilling lives for older people.

Toureikai operates Yayoi-en as a residential nursing care facility and provides short-stay care, day services, and in-home care management support. In 2019, it expanded its services to Izumi Ward with Smile Harmony Yasaka, a community-based, small-scale day service. Its facilities and programs are focused on meeting care needs within the areas they serve, particularly in and around Asahi Ward.
