About TOU
Tou | Stavanger is a brand that collaborates with Kapittel, the Stavanger International Festival of Literature and Freedom of Expression. During the festival, Tou will be hosting five exciting events. One of the events, Dreaming in Strange Houses, features a conversation with authors Juliana Sokolova, Eva Luka, Michal Tallo, and Jakub Stachowiak, discussing their creative work during residency stays in Slovakia, Norway, and Iceland.
Another event, After the Attacks, brings together writer Michal Tallo and Norwegian author Marjam Idriss for a discussion on writing in the aftermath of attacks. Additionally, Tou will present Løkøy - Å Hekle Ved, a captivating performance where choreographer Hanna A. Lokøy and musician Lasse Lokøy weave a sensory world of textiles, empathy, rituals, and transformation.
Other events include a duo concert by Kari Bremnes and the premiere of the composition Blooming by composer Kari Beate Tandberg, based on the Nobel Prize-winning book War's Unwomanly Face by Svetlana Aleksijevitsj.
