Toxotes e.V. is a club for biological aquarium and terrarium studies based in Buckenhof, east of Erlangen. Founded on its current grounds in 1924, the association welcomes visitors to its public display aquariums every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with free admission. Its exhibition features a large central marine aquarium surrounded by freshwater tanks, along with additional aquariums and small insect displays. Visitors can see a range of animals, including clownfish, piranhas, axolotls, stick insects and, during warmer months, tortoises.

The club also holds fish and plant fairs quarterly. Members and private breeders offer home-bred fish, shrimp and crayfish, aquatic plants, aquarium equipment and other related items. Beyond its exhibitions and fairs, Toxotes e.V. lists projects involving a large terrarium, freshwater and marine aquariums, a garden pond and building renovation. The association holds its club evening on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. and invites prospective visitors to get in touch through its contact form or by phone.
