TOZ

The Society for the Care of Animals in Poland (Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzętami w Polsce, or TOZ) is a nationwide animal welfare organization operating since 1864. With 67 branches across Poland, it cares for homeless, abandoned and mistreated animals and works to improve their welfare. TOZ runs shelters, conducts field interventions, and provides educational programs and training.

Its activities also include a social inspectorate that accepts reports of neglect or cruelty, as well as projects and initiatives supporting animal care. The organization helps animals find permanent homes by sharing adoption profiles and guiding prospective adopters. People can support its work through donations, including bank transfers and BLIK, by donating a portion of their tax, volunteering, or partnering as a company or institution.

TOZ’s volunteers contribute to daily animal care and wider outreach. The organization also publishes news and information about its branches, programs, and animal welfare issues. Through its local network and public engagement, TOZ works to rescue animals, provide care, and create opportunities for them to find safe homes
