TP53

The George Pantziarka TP53 Trust is a UK charity dedicated to supporting families and individuals affected by Li Fraumeni Syndrome (LFS) and related conditions. LFS is a cancer predisposition syndrome associated with significant cancer risks, and the Trust helps people navigate its practical and personal challenges. It provides advice and information for patients, families and healthcare professionals, including guidance on TP53 testing, screening recommendations, surveillance, and what to look out for when a child with LFS becomes unwell. Its resources include frequently asked questions, an information pack for people newly diagnosed, newsletters, and links to useful services and research.

The Trust also works to build community and raise awareness through LFS events and its Li Fraumeni Network for Clinicians and Researchers. Research is a central part of its mission, with a particular focus on ways to reduce cancer risk. The charity shares information about studies and trials, including the MILI trial investigating whether metformin can reduce cancer risk, and provides updates on active projects and relevant clinical research.
