About Te Piki Oranga
Te Piki Oranga is a leading Māori health services provider in Te Tauihu o Te Waka-a-Māui, encompassing Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough. Established in 2014, Te Piki Oranga offers a wide range of services to support the health and wellbeing of individuals and their whānau (families). With a team of over 60 dedicated kaimahi (staff), they hold a significant Whānau Ora contract with the Nelson Marlborough branch of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand.
Their services include personal health, mental health and addictions support, wellchild care, tamariki ora, and health social work. In addition to this, they also provide other important health contracts such as youth suicide prevention, smoke-free services, and cervical screening. Te Piki Oranga is guided by the Te Puna Hauora model, a comprehensive approach that combines clinical care, navigation services, and community support to empower Māori and their whānau towards improved health outcomes.
With a strong focus on partnership and unlocking barriers to services, Te Piki Oranga is committed to making a positive impact on the health of the community they serve
