About Te Puna Ora o Mataatua Charitable Trust
Te Puna Ora o Mataatua is a charitable trust that is dedicated to supporting whānau-based health, social, and wellness programs in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region. As a non-profit organization, they offer a wide range of integrated health, medical, social, and employment services for individuals and their families. Their whānau ora model of care ensures that all members of the whānau receive inclusive and comprehensive services through multiple forms of engagement.
Te Puna Ora o Mataatua was established in 1991 by Iwi across the Mataatua rohe, with the aim of bringing back health to the Eastern Bay. Their logo, a waka symbol, represents their collective journey towards accessible and relevant health and wellbeing services. Their connection to the earth and sky is represented by the colors green and blue, while the spirals symbolize their clients who are embraced in their care.
The flow of water, symbolized by the puna, represents the importance of water to the health and wellbeing of all living things. Through their dedicated work, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua is committed to creating a better future of health and wellbeing for their clients, whānau, and community
