Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Ziemi Dębickiej (TPZD), founded in 1960, is an association dedicated to the history, heritage, and community life of the Dębica region in Poland. Its activities encourage residents to learn about their “small homeland” and preserve the memory of significant local events and people. TPZD works with institutions including the Regional Museum in Dębica and local schools to organize educational and commemorative initiatives.
A key part of its programme is the “Home Army in Dębica County” history competition, held for primary and secondary school students and designed to build knowledge of the Second World War and the Home Army’s role in the area. The association also takes part in local observances, including ceremonies marking Poland’s Independence Day, the town’s patron saint, and the anniversary of the Battle of Kałużówka.
