About Tanzquartier Wien
Tanzquartier Wien, also known as TQW, is a renowned center for contemporary choreography and performance located in Vienna, Austria. Established in 2001, it has become one of Europe's leading dance institutions. TQW operates three studios from October to June and the Halle G in the Museumsquartier from October to April.
The institution is committed to fostering collaborations with local artists in the fields of choreography and performance, embracing various formats and encouraging risk-taking and experimentation. TQW also focuses on presenting selected international works. In addition, the center offers comprehensive activities in body and performance practices, theory, research, artistic labs, and education.
Visitors can access a library with specialized literature and a media library that serves as an archive. TQW serves as a workspace and hub for artists, while providing audiences the opportunity to experience contemporary choreography that engages with sociopolitical and artistic discourses.
