Trace

trace. moe is an Anime Scene Search Engine dedicated to helping users trace back the original anime using a screenshot. With a vast database of approximately 30,000 hours of anime, it identifies the best-matching scene, providing details such as the anime title, episode, and the exact timestamp.

By offering a few seconds of preview for verification, users can ensure the accuracy of the search results. Designed to combat the spread of uncredited anime screencaps and GIFs, trace. moe aims to connect viewers with the source material.

This free service operates without ads, relying solely on donations for maintenance. Notably, trace. moe is not a platform for watching anime but serves as a helpful tool for identifying anime from screenshots.

The search engine exclusively indexes officially published anime content, distinguishing itself from AI-based recognition systems by employing Content-based image retrieval technology
