The Heimat- und Trachtenverein Hirschau e. V. is a community association dedicated to preserving local customs, traditional dress and regional heritage.
Guided by its motto, “True to custom, true to traditional costume, true to home,” the club brings people together to keep Bavarian traditions active and share them across generations. Its activities include dance rehearsals, performances, social gatherings and seasonal events such as the traditional Easter Monday walk. The association supports both adult members and young people, with youth groups taking part in community celebrations, visits and activities such as summer camp.
Members also represent Hirschau at regional gatherings and events, including Oktoberfest parades and celebrations organized by the Gauverband Oberpfalz. The club maintains a meeting space and provides information about membership, its history, traditional costumes and the people who lead the organization. Through music, dance, costume and shared experiences, the Heimat- und Trachtenverein Hirschau fosters a lively sense of community and helps pass local traditions on to future generations
