Trackplanner

Trackplanner is an online model railway planning tool that helps hobbyists design, check, and prepare layouts in one browser-based workspace. Users can choose track from 83 manufacturer systems, with 2,459 catalogue pieces and article numbers, then place sections that automatically connect while the software calculates their positions and angles. The catalogue spans Z to G scales and includes wooden, DUPLO, and LEGO toy train systems.

Plans can be viewed in both 2D and 3D, with options for adding scenery and, on Premium, designing heights, ramps, helixes, and terrain. Trackplanner’s plan check highlights potential problems such as steep gradients and S-curves, helping users spot issues before construction. The app can import plans from formats and programs including AnyRail, WinTrack, XtrkCAD, Raily, and 3rd PlanIt.

Users can turn a design into a parts list with prices and pack sizes, print a 1:1 building template, or share plans by link. The full editor and every track system are available free, while selected export and print features are Premium.
