Traction Volleyball is a youth volleyball organization in Richmond, British Columbia, helping children develop skills, confidence, coordination, and a lasting enjoyment of the game. Its programs welcome beginners as well as young players looking to improve, with age-appropriate instruction, positive coaching, and active, supportive sessions. The focus extends beyond volleyball fundamentals to movement, teamwork, communication, resilience, and sportsmanship.

Traction’s offerings include Volley Juniors for children aged 6–8, where players learn foundational skills through movement and play, and Rally Rockstars for ages 9–12, which emphasizes athletic development, skill-building, teamwork, and an introduction to game situations. The organization also promotes beginner-friendly open-house sessions, giving children a chance to try volleyball, meet coach Bruce, and experience its approach. No prior volleyball experience is required for the advertised open house.

Led by a coach who values patience, encouragement, and learning at each child’s pace, Traction aims to create an environment where young athletes feel comfortable trying new skills and celebrating progress.
