Tradou is the professional practice of Giada Riva, a translator, subtitler, localiser and qualified doula based in Florence, Italy. It brings together her language expertise and family-support work, reflecting her belief that translation and doula care are two complementary sides of her business.

Giada provides English-to-Italian, French-to-Italian and Japanese-to-Italian translation, as well as Italian proofreading and localisation. She works with a wide range of material and specialises in audiovisual, marketing and legal texts. Her subtitling services include human-made captions and SDH subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, helping make video content more accessible and engaging. She also offers interpreting.

As a doula, Giada supports families through the transition to parenthood with practical and emotional care. Her assistance can include supporting parents and their baby at home, helping with everyday tasks, offering a listening ear, and providing support with breastfeeding. Drawing on her interpreting experience, she can also help families communicate with healthcare professionals and manage Italian paperwork.
