Tragwerk Luzern

Tragwerk Luzern is a nonprofit organisation supporting people affected by addiction and poverty across Central Switzerland. Formerly known as Verein Kirchliche Gassenarbeit, it works to ease hardship and help ensure that people living on the streets or at risk of homelessness can access practical support. Its professional services include basic medical care, healthy food and individual guidance with everyday challenges and personal life circumstances.

The organisation offers several programmes, including Gassechuchi – K+A, family services, youth and child services, BeratungPLUS, mobile support, drug information and pastoral care. Tragwerk Luzern also connects with the wider community through public information events, school teaching materials, the GasseZiitig newspaper, catering, cultural activities, film and media projects, a podcast and a kiosk. Donations help fund its services and support people experiencing addiction and poverty throughout the region.
