Train Books is a specialist Japanese secondhand bookstore focused on railway books and publications. Its website combines information about newly arrived stock with a railway enthusiast’s blog, sharing the shop manager’s updates and the results of railway photography activities. The shop offers vintage and back-issue titles, including magazines such as Tetsudō Fan, Tetsudō Journal, and Tetsudō Pictorial, as well as railway books and series about Japan’s railway routes and landmarks. Recent listings span publications from several decades, with some product pages featuring contents information.

The site also documents detailed photographs of individual railway vehicle types and trains. Its coverage ranges widely across electric, diesel, and steam locomotives; passenger and freight cars; electric multiple units; and diesel railcars. Posts feature vehicles operated by JR companies, freight services, and other railway operators, alongside special trains and work vehicles. Readers can browse updates by vehicle category, railway series, operator, or subject, and find reports on photography, equipment, and other interests.
