Tranquility Manor

Tranquility Manor is a residential care provider based in Portsmouth, Virginia, offering supportive living services for adults. The organization operates six group homes in the Cavalier Manor and Cradock areas, with an emphasis on creating a stable, caring environment and encouraging community participation.

Its services include residential care, Medicaid waiver support and community engagement-based day services. Medicaid waiver services are intended to help people with intellectual disabilities live safely and healthily in shared homes. Support may include developing daily living skills, socializing, managing money and receiving personal care. Community activities described by residents include celebrations, boat rides, outdoor events, church visits and exercise, alongside opportunities to build independence and practical life skills.

Tranquility Manor works with individuals who have an approved Medicaid waiver slot through Community Services; the individual’s resource manager can contact the provider about placement. The organization says its staff are qualified Day Support Professionals trained in a range of support areas. Services are billed through Medicaid following waiver approval.
