Trans Augrabies is a South African endurance event brand inviting athletes to experience the rugged landscapes of the Green Kalahari and Augrabies Falls National Park. Its flagship event is a two-day stage race, scheduled for 13–14 June 2027, offering distinct challenges for mountain bikers, gravel cyclists and trail runners. A mini mountain bike race is also available, and e-bikes may participate in a non-competitive category.
Routes are designed around the area’s demanding terrain, desert conditions and contrasting scenery, including the Orange River valley. The event combines competitive sport with an opportunity to discover the Northern Cape’s distinctive natural environment and local adventure attractions. Trans Augrabies also promotes an innovative handicap timekeeping system intended to make overall prizes more accessible to veteran athletes and female competitors.
