About Transbefrienders
TransBefrienders is a non-profit organization based in Singapore that focuses on providing peer-support services to transgender youths. Founded in 2019 by a dedicated group of volunteers who have firsthand experience with gender dysphoria, TransBefrienders aims to offer appropriate information and emotional support to guide transgender youths on their transitioning journey. Additionally, the organization acts as an intermediary support system for individuals navigating the healthcare system and managing suicidal ideation.
TransBefrienders has expanded its reach to include youths-at-heart as well. Their mission is to encourage and accompany gender-diverse individuals in Singapore towards independence and happiness. With a team of over 30 talented individuals, including cisgender, transgender, and gender-diverse individuals, TransBefrienders is devoted to their cause and the well-being of the community.
