About Transcrime
Transcrime is an inter-university research center on transnational crime, directed by Ernesto Ugo Savona, affiliated with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano and the Università degli Studi di Trento. Their innovative research aims to reduce crime and tackle various aspects of transnational crime. Transcrime offers a range of products and services, including projects, publications, and research in criminology, law, economics, data science, sociology, forensic accounting, and computer science.
Their research is translated into tools, indicators, models, and applications by their partner Crime&tech. Transcrime also provides education through their Master's and PhD programs, as well as Summer Schools. They regularly share news, events, and media stories related to their work.
Transcrime has been successful in securing various projects, including RESPOND, which focuses on political corruption; INVERT, which addresses adult and child labor trafficking; and VANGUARD and FALCON, both funded by Horizon Europe. They are dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of transnational crime to contribute to its prevention and intervention
