Transformations by Design is an interior design and decorating business based in Wasilla, Alaska, and operating since July 2018. Led by Lori Ellis, the brand helps homeowners and entrepreneurs create inspiring, distinctive spaces that feel personal, functional, and comfortable. Its approach makes design accessible and practical, offering guidance to clients who want to clarify their style and bring their ideas together without requiring a luxury budget.
Services include design for residential homes, commercial offices, and showrooms, with support for new home construction, full remodels, and single-room makeovers. Projects may involve kitchens and bathrooms, floor plans, finishes, furniture sourcing, decorating, and holiday styling. Transformations by Design also provides project management and hands-on assistance, as demonstrated by a complete condo renovation that addressed major repairs and upgrades alongside design work.
The brand draws on Lori’s studies in commercial art and design and her understanding of color, texture, contrast, and symmetry. Clients can explore styles ranging from traditional and transitional to Scandinavian, bohemian, industrial, and modern farmhouse, then work with Lori to shape a space that reflects their needs and personality.
