About Trust
The Trust, Accountability, and Inclusion Collaborative (TAI), also known as Funders for Participatory Governance, is a network and learning platform for funders working to advance more equitable, accountable, and inclusive societies. Its members include influential international grantmaking organizations focused on governance and its connections to economic, social, and climate justice. Bilateral donors, including the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, participate as observers.
TAI supports collaboration and learning among funders, while encouraging them to apply principles of transparency, participation, and accountability in their own grantmaking. Its work addresses issues such as civic space, taxation and public finance, beneficial ownership transparency, responsible data use, and healthy information ecosystems. Resources include research reports, practical guides, case studies, strategy libraries, and a weekly newsletter covering accountability, inclusion, and trust.
Through initiatives such as the Funders’ Roundtable on the Future of Development, Fiscal Ecosystems, and 3D Dialogues, TAI convenes donors and shares evidence and approaches for strengthening governance.
