About Transparency International New Zealand
Transparency International New Zealand (TINZ) is an anti-corruption movement dedicated to promoting transparency, good governance, and ethical practices across all sectors in New Zealand. As part of a global coalition of over 100 accredited chapters, TINZ envisions a world that is free of corruption. Though New Zealand is regarded as having low levels of corruption, TINZ recognizes the importance of raising awareness, detecting, and preventing corrupt practices.
TINZ supports government, businesses, and civil society in identifying their risks and establishing a culture of integrity through campaigns, education, resources, initiatives, and legislation. Operating as a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, TINZ relies on a dedicated team of volunteer Directors and part-time staff. Their funding comes from various sources, including government agencies, memberships, donations, and pro bono support.
