Anyone can be a Trash Hero! You too! Our mission is to bring communities together to clean and reduce waste. We do this through: Action and Awareness - Our volunteers pick up trash and motivate others to do the same. By spending a few hours together cleaning up, people gain a profound understanding of the need to reduce and better manage waste. Education - We engage children through our multilingual kids’ programme, connecting environmental values with hands-on experience of the impact that plastic trash has on the ocean. Adults learn through doing, with actvities and workshops provided by our volunteers. Sustainable Projects - We create long-term programmes that help communities to reduce and better manage existing waste, and strategies that will prevent future waste. Inspiration - We motivate people to break free from plastic and become Trash Heroes in their everyday lives. With consistently positive messaging, and a philosophy of “small steps”, we remove the barriers to change and normalise a vision of a zero-waste world. We abide by the following principles: - Be positive - Be inclusive and neutral - Show, don’t tell. Repeat - Think global, act local - Be transparent We are a global network of community-based groups called "chapters". All are run by volunteers. They don’t take or make money through their activities - costs are covered by donations in kind from local sponsors, and any products are sold at cost, with publicly available receipts. Trash Hero World is the network's governing body. We are registered in Switzerland as a non-profit association.

About Trash Hero World
Trash Hero World | Inwil is an energetic and volunteer-led brand that is dedicated to driving change within communities around the world. Our mission is to motivate and support communities in cleaning and preventing plastic waste. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and supporters, the Trash Hero movement is growing bigger and better every day.
Our impact figures, up to the end of December 2022, highlight the incredible progress we have made in tackling plastic pollution. To continue making a difference, we invite you to make a donation and join us in our efforts to clean and reduce waste. We offer a range of programs and initiatives to achieve our mission.
Our weekly cleanups allow communities to come together and take action against litter. We also focus on educating kids about plastic pollution through the Trash Hero Kids website, where they can access resources and learn about the importance of reducing waste. Additionally, we have a unique water bottle refill program in Southeast Asia, which allows individuals to live or travel without single-use plastic by providing free refills using our high-quality stainless steel bottles.
