Trauerbasis

Trauerbasis is a grief support practice in Leipzig led by grief counsellor Franziska Jahn. It offers a welcoming, non-religious and individual approach for people coping with bereavement, farewells and major life changes. Jahn provides a safe, confidential space to explore feelings, thoughts and memories, and helps clients find practical ways to regain a sense of agency during emotionally difficult times. Support can take place through conversation or creative, hands-on activities, in person at the practice in Plagwitz, online or outdoors.

Services include a free 15-minute introductory conversation, an initial consultation, individual grief support and advice on grief-related questions. Jahn also facilitates small grief groups and offers talks or guidance for organisations seeking to support grieving employees and improve workplace responses to loss. Sessions and their duration can be tailored to individual needs; services are generally self-funded rather than covered by health insurance. Trauerbasis aims to provide grounded, clear and respectful support, without imposing a fixed timetable or prescribed way to grieve.
