Trauerbegleitung

Rückenwind Trauerbegleitung is a grief-support practice in Mainz led by Bärbel Roßmann-Fischer. It offers individualized, compassionate support for people coping with the loss of someone close, recognizing that grief is a personal process that can arise before a loss, soon after a farewell, or years later. Through patient conversations and practical strategies, the practice helps clients understand their feelings and find ways to manage everyday life.

Services include one-to-one grief support and Kintsugi workshops, where repairing broken pottery provides a creative starting point for reflection and accepting personal experiences. The practice also accompanies river burials on the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate. Sound therapy, using singing bowls to encourage relaxation and body awareness, can be incorporated into grief sessions or booked separately. Nordic walking is available as a movement-based option when clients need fresh impulses, outdoor activity, or support in restoring physical and mental wellbeing. Rückenwind aims to create a respectful space for grief and help people gradually find renewed strength and a meaningful way forward.
