Traurednerin Heike

Heike Bartels is a freelance wedding celebrant serving couples in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the Mettmann district, Düsseldorf, Essen, Duisburg, Wuppertal, Erkrath and Velbert. Her approach centres on authentic, humorous ceremonies shaped around each couple’s story, preferences and vision for their wedding day. Couples can choose their venue, music, ceremony format and personal touches, with no fixed religious or traditional script.

Bartels offers an introductory meeting to explore the couple’s wishes and answer questions, followed by a detailed planning conversation in which she learns about their relationship and works with them to shape the ceremony. She also helps coordinate practical details, discusses entrances, music and symbolic rituals, and can recommend experienced wedding suppliers when needed. Her services include personalised free wedding ceremonies, as well as renewal of marriage vows and free naming ceremonies.

She serves couples throughout NRW and aims to create a relaxed, meaningful celebration that lets them enjoy their day without unnecessary stress. A free ceremony is not legally binding and does not replace a civil marriage
